Read the analytics dashboard
Pull sign-up, activation and feature-usage figures for a cohort, edit the time-saved table, and find out why three tabs are blurred.
The dashboard tells you how many of your students signed up, how many are applying, and what they are using the product for. The sidebar calls it Analytics, the page header reads Overview, and both point at the same screen.
Set the scope before you copy anything
Viewing data for sits at the top left with a dropdown on the right. It lists your batches, with All premium students above them for the organisation as a whole. Every figure below the header follows that choice.
Under it, the collapsible Batch Details bar holds seats on the left, as Signed Up, Allocated and Total with a two-tone bar, and the batch period on the right, with the percentage elapsed and the days left. The same card sits above the Whitelist and My Students tables.
The four tabs
Usage opens first, with four tiles: Total students, the whitelisted students who created an account; Activated users, those who have submitted at least one application; Total applications; and Average applications per active student. Below them come a Monthly active users chart and a Feature usage breakdown of eight counts, from resume generation through to compatibility analysis.
Last on the tab is Time saved by feature, built from feature usage counts multiplied by minutes-per-task estimates. The minutes are yours to change: edit one and the totals recalculate, and Revert to default puts the supplied estimates back. This is the table to quote in a committee paper.
Applications adds an Applications by month chart and Distribution of students by number of applications, which shows whether the activity sits with a handful of students or spreads across the cohort.
Students holds Student Analytics: top industry, job function, country, city, employment type and work arrangement. Each student counts once, towards their single most-applied-to value in each category, so these describe where students are aiming rather than how many applications went out.
Jobs ranks Most Popular Added Jobs by click count and totals them. Before anyone clicks anything it reads "No job clicks recorded yet."
If three tabs are blurred
On a Starter licence, Applications, Students and Jobs sit behind Analytics locked and "Analytics for Starter contract is not allowed." The numbers showing through the blur are placeholder figures, not your cohort's, so read nothing into them. Usage still works. Ask your account manager about opening the rest.
Tips
- Seat figures come from Batch Details, activity figures from Usage. They answer different questions.
- Total students counts accounts created; Activated users counts students who have applied for something.
- Switch to All premium students for an organisation-wide report, then back to one batch for a programme review.
