Create your account
Sign up by email, with Google, or through your university, then click the verification link. Until you do, the app shows one screen and nothing else.
Three routes lead to a FirstResume account, and all three end at the same verification email.
Three ways in
Open https://app.firstresume.ai and go to Create an account. You get Sign up with Email, Sign up with Google, and, in the block headed "Part of a university or organization?", Continue with your institution.
Take the institution route only if your careers team told you to. It asks you to pick your university under Select your organization, then hands you an ordinary email and password form, and the address has to be the one your university whitelisted. There is no Google button on that path. FirstResume through your university covers what changes afterwards.

Sign up with an email address
- Press Sign up with Email.
- Fill in "First name" and "Last name". Letters, spaces and apostrophes only.
- Type your address into "Enter your email".
- Type a password of 8 to 64 characters into "Create a password (min 8 characters)" and repeat it in "Confirm password". The eye icon shows what you typed.
- Press Sign Up and look for "Account created successfully".
"Email already registered, please login to continue" means the address is taken, by you, most likely. Sign in instead. "Too many attempts from your network. Try again in N minutes" means FirstResume has capped sign-ups from your connection; wait the minutes shown or press Sign up with Google.
The Google route skips the form. Pick your account in the popup and you are in, under the message "Logged in successfully" even though you signed up.
Verify your email before anything works
FirstResume emails you a verification link. Until you click it the app shows one screen, Verify your email address, and nothing behind it opens.
Open the email and click the link. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder, then press Resend email on that screen. Signed up with the wrong address? Sign out sits at the top right, and you can start again with the right one.
Once you are verified, you land on New Application on a computer or Jobs on a phone, and onboarding starts. Carry on with Build your profile from your CV.
