What FirstResume is
You keep one profile. Paste a job advert and FirstResume writes a tailored resume, cover letter and interview prep for that job, then tracks it.
FirstResume is a web app at https://app.firstresume.ai that writes and tracks job applications. You build one profile, then for each job you paste the advert and get a resume rewritten for it, a cover letter, outreach emails and interview questions.
From your profile to an application
Your Profile holds your contact details, summary, experience, education, projects, skills and languages. Most people fill it in during onboarding by uploading a CV they already have. FirstResume draws on it for every document it writes afterwards, so the ten minutes you spend correcting the import pay off on every application.
When you find a job, open New Application, paste the text of the advert and press Add Job. FirstResume puts you back on My Applications and prepares the job in the background, about a minute. Open it and you get seven tabs for that one job.
Job Summary is the advert split into fields you can correct. Compatibility scores your fit out of 100 and names your gaps. Research is a briefing on the company, Premium only. Resume tailors a copy of one of your resumes to this job and leaves the original alone. Cover Letter, Out Reach and Interview fill in together once that resume exists.
Two parts of the app sit outside applications. Jobs searches live postings and hands one straight over with Add to Applications. Pathfinder suggests career paths from your profile.
What you need before you start
Bring the text of the advert. A link will not do; copy the posting itself.
Bring a CV as a PDF or DOCX if you have one. Onboarding reads it and writes your profile from it in about a minute. Without one, choose No, I don't (Create for me) and fill the profile in by hand.
Use a computer. On a phone the app shows Applications, Jobs and Profile, and every other address redirects to Jobs.
Starter is free, asks for no card, and tracks up to 10 applications. See pricing for what Premium and Max lift.
