Make your first application

One job from advert to finished kit: a tailored resume, a cover letter, an outreach email and interview questions. Each stage has a fuller guide linked from here.

Paste the advert

You need the text of the advert, not its URL, and a profile with something in it. An empty profile stops New Application and asks you to upload a resume or start one from scratch. Build your profile from your CV covers that.

1. Press New Application in the sidebar.
2. Paste the whole advert into "Paste the text of the job description" under Add a job to start.
3. Press Add Job.

Pressing Add Job sends you straight to My Applications, with the job still being read. A message says "Adding 1 application…", the new entry carries a shimmering PROCESSING... label for about a minute, and "Your new application is ready on My Application page" tells you it landed. Paste more adverts while you wait; they queue.

Read the summary and your score

Click the job to open it on Job Summary: the advert split into Job Title, Company Name, Key Responsibilities, Key Requirements, Hard Skills and Soft Skills. Press Edit and correct anything the AI misread.

Compatibility gives one score out of 100 with Skill Match, Experience Match and Education & Qualifications Match under it, then Key Strengths, Key Gaps and Recommended Actions. The score shimmers until the analysis arrives. Untick a skill you do not have and the number recalculates.

Attach a resume, then generate the kit

Cover Letter, Out Reach and Interview stay shut until this application has a resume of its own.

1. Open the Resume tab. Preparing your resume offers From existing resume and Create a new resume.
2. Pick one and press Next. With an existing resume you then choose Tailor with AI or Use Directly. Tailoring works on a copy, so your original file is untouched. Allow 30 to 60 seconds.
3. Open Cover Letter, Out Reach or Interview and press Generate on the Prepare the application kit card. Tick Include company research if research exists for this company. All three tabs fill at once.

Back on My Applications, the progress ring fills in thirds and the status dropdown moves the job from Saved to Applied, Interviewing, Offer or Rejected. Starter tracks 10 applications and meters application kits; see pricing. Deleting an application deletes its resume, cover letter and everything else generated for it.
