Delete an application

Deleting a job removes the application and everything built on it: the job summary, the compatibility analysis, the company research, the resume tailored for this job, the cover letter, the outreach emails and the interview prep. There is no undo and nothing to restore from.

The one thing that survives

The resume you tailored from. Tailoring makes a copy, so the original in your library is untouched, and it is the copy attached to this job that goes. Download anything else you want to keep first. The tailored resume and the cover letter both download as files from their own tabs, and after the delete they exist nowhere.

Consider the status instead

Setting a job to Rejected keeps the record and the work, which is worth having if you apply to the same employer again. See Track your applications.

Delete it

1. Open Applications in the sidebar.
2. Find the job in the list, or in its status column on the board.
3. Press the ⋯ menu on the row or card and choose Delete.
4. Read the Confirm delete? dialog: "This will delete this application and all of its related data, including the resume, cover letter etc. This action cannot be reverted."
5. Press Confirm, or Cancel to back out.

"Application deleted successfully" appears and the row or card goes.

Freeing a slot on Starter

Starter (free) tracks ten applications and padlocks everything past the tenth. Deleting one frees a slot straight away and a locked job opens. If you are deleting live applications to make room, Premium and Max track as many as you like; see pricing.

Tips

• Delete the roles you have ruled out, not the ones that have gone quiet. A fortnight of silence is not a rejection.
• For a tidier list, filter by status. That is reversible and this is not.
• Download the tailored resume before you go. It is often the strongest version of your resume you have.
