Track your applications
Run My Applications as your tracker: list or board, five statuses, ten jobs on the free plan, and a progress ring that fills on its own.
My Applications is the tracker: every job you have added, the stage each one has reached, and how much of each you have prepared.
List or board
Open Applications in the sidebar. The toggle in the toolbar switches views and the app remembers which you chose. The list is a table of job role, company, dates, location, compatibility score, status, a progress ring and a ⋯ menu, with the score coloured green from 80, orange from 60 and red below. The board is five columns of cards, one per status, on desktop only. Either way, clicking a row or card opens the job on its Job Summary tab.
Ten jobs on the free plan
Starter tracks ten applications. A banner counts what you are using, and every row past the tenth carries a padlock instead of opening. The padlock goes by position in the list, so sorting or filtering changes which ten you can get into. Delete a job you have ruled out to free a slot (Delete an application), or lift the limit on Premium or Max; see pricing. On an organisation plan you get Request Upgrade or Activate account instead of the upgrade button.
Move a job along
The statuses run Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer and Rejected, and every job starts at Saved. Change one from the dropdown on its row, by dragging a card between board columns, or from the dropdown in the top bar with the application open.
Keep it current. The action checklist hands you different tasks for each stage, and it gives you the wrong ones while the status is behind: Use the action checklist.
The ring is not the percentage
The ring on each row fills in thirds on its own and counts three things: the job summary exists, a resume is attached, the application kit exists. A full ring means the application is prepared, and says nothing about whether you sent it. The Progress % button inside an application is the other measure, and that one is a checklist you tick yourself.
Tips
- Move a job to Applied the moment you send it. It is the status people forget.
- Search and the status filter beat scrolling. Filter to Interviewing on the morning of one.
- A half-filled ring on a job you have already applied for usually means no resume is attached to it.
