What the Good Match pill means, which of the seven cards are worth your time, and how to turn Desired skills and Strategy into something you do.
A career path page is an AI write-up of one role, set against your profile. Generate one with Explore a career path, then use this to work out which parts to act on.
The Good Match pill
The green pill beside the role title is the AI's own verdict on fit. Its absence is not a rejection. The card Why this job is a Good Match for me? gives the reasoning either way, and it is the one to read before you decide anything, because it names the parts of your experience the AI counted.
The seven cards
About the role and Insights describe the job and its context. Why this job is a Good Match for me? ties it to you. Desired skills splits into Hard skills:, Soft skills: and Tools, software and certification:. Companies to look for names employers who hire for the role, each with a link to its site. Strategy and Advice for you cover getting in from where you stand now.
Turn it into something you do
The page links to nothing inside FirstResume. No jobs, no applications, so every next step is yours to take.
- Read Desired skills against your own profile. Anything on the hard skills or tools list that you have but never wrote down belongs in your profile and your resume today.
- Open the companies and check their careers pages. When you find a posting worth going for, add it as an application and FirstResume tailors a resume to it.
- Treat Strategy as a list of things to start, and mark the ones that need a skill from Desired skills before you can begin.
Before you rely on it
Hover the tab bar and you see "AI can make mistakes. Review and edit the details before proceeding". Company details and skill requirements are worth checking against the employer's own pages.
Press Save at the top right before you go anywhere. Back to Pathfinder at the top left discards the page. See Save and revisit career paths.
