Change your account details
Edit your name, email and password on the Account tab, find out why Google sign-ups cannot change either, and delete your account for good.
Your name, email address and password sit on the Account tab of Settings, along with the button that deletes the account. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account Settings to get there.
Name and email
Edit First Name, Last Name or Email under Profile and press Save. A toast reads "User information updated successfully".
If you signed up with Google you cannot edit Email. The field is locked because your address comes from your Google account, and changing it there is the only route.
Your First Name is what shows at the bottom of the sidebar, so use the name you want to look at every day.
Password
Under Password, a Sign up method pill says whether you joined by email or with Google. Type a new password into New Password, repeat it in Confirm Password and press Save.
Google sign-ups find this whole section greyed out. There is no FirstResume password on your account to change, because your Google password is the one that lets you in.
Signing out
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Sign Out. Your account and everything in it waits for you at https://app.firstresume.ai. If you want a break rather than an ending, stop here.
Delete your account
Deleting cannot be undone, and the app asks you twice before it happens.
- Scroll to Delete Account on the Account tab and press Delete my account.
- A dialog asks "Are you sure you want to delete your account? This action cannot be undone." Press Delete my account again, or Cancel to keep everything.
- A toast reads "Account deleted successfully" and you are signed out.
Download any resume you want to keep first, because they go with the account. On a paid plan, cancel it and use the access you have already paid for before you delete. See Change or cancel your plan.
