Search the job board
Run your first search on Jobs, read live postings from company job boards, and know how far one search goes on the free plan.
Jobs lists live postings pulled from company job boards, narrowed to your profile. You read them here, heart the ones worth a second look, and hand the rest to FirstResume to prepare.
Before you start
Your profile seeds the filters, so fill in your roles and preferences first. See Set your job preferences.
Run your first search
- Open Jobs from the sidebar. On a phone it is the screen you land on.
- On your first visit the board reads your profile and shows "Building your personalised job filters…". If that fails, press Try again.
- Press Begin Search on the Find your perfect role card.
- The Filters panel opens, preset from your profile. Change what you like, then press Search. That is the apply button, and nothing reaches the board without it. Set your job filters, or let AI do it covers the panel.
The board keeps your filters, so tomorrow it opens on the same ones. Press Filters on the right of the Search tab to change them; the badge counts the ones you have set.
Judge a posting fast
Cards on the left give you the title, the company, a date badge and two lines of description. Click one and the posting opens on the right: Requirements Summary at the top, then About the Job, Core Responsibilities, Benefits, Visa Sponsorship and Key Skills.
Look at Visa Sponsorship and Work Arrangement before anything else if either would rule the role out. The date badge tells you how stale the posting is. The grid under the title reads "Not Disclosed" or "Not specified" when the employer left a figure out.
No match score appears here. Compatibility is worked out after you press Add to Applications, and so is the link to the employer's own posting. The board has no Apply button and no outbound link, so Turn a listing into an application is the way to reach the original.
How far one search goes
On Starter (free) a search returns 20 jobs and stops, with "Upgrade to get unlimited jobs" under the last card. Your plan also sets how many searches you get each month, and the board counts them down beside Begin Search. Premium gets a Load more button and unlimited searches. See pricing.
"No matching jobs found" means your filters were too tight. Widen the location or drop a keyword and press Search again.
Tips
- Each press of Search uses one of your monthly searches. Reading, hearting and adding jobs do not.
- Heart anything you are unsure about, so you can come back to it without spending a search.
